Photo of Bill CaldwellFuneral services for Mr. Bill Caldwell, 79, of Downsville were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Farmerville, LA. Officiating was Rev. Kurt Auger assisted by Ronnie Parks. Interment followed at Farmerville City Cemetery in Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Caldwell was born on September 29, 1933 and passed away on November 9, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and also a member of the El Karubah Shrine Temple. Mr. Caldwell worked for the West Monroe City Marshallís Office for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe for over 30 years before moving to Farmerville in 2006 where he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmerville.
He was a 1963 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and was an avid Volunteer fan. He was a loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dee Caldwell: brothers, J.T. Caldwell: Harry Caldwell: and his twin brother, Bobby Caldwell: and sister, Jean West.
He is survived by his daughter, Teri McDuffie and husband Sam of Benton, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Katie McDuffie and Maggie McDuffie of Benton, Arkansas; brother, David Caldwell of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kalan Albritton, Ken Cooper, Sydney Cameron, Sparky McDuffie, Ray Gambino, and Sam McDuffie.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Childrenís Hospital, or Operation Christmas Child/ Samaritanís Purse.
Visitation was held Monday, November 12, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
