Thomas William Hanna, Sr. (01-04-2018)
A memorial service for Thomas William Hanna
Sr., 79, of Farmerville was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
December 30, 2017, at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel
with Father Al Jost officiating.
Mr. Hanna went to his heavenly home on December
26, 2017. Thomas was born and raised in New
Orleans, La. and moved to Farmerville in 2005 following
Hurricane Katrina. He retired from Hooker/
Occidental Chemical Company after 28 years as the
maintenance supervisor. He was also an independent
businessman, owning Hanna Bail Bonds. After
moving to Farmerville, he went to work as a 911
Operator and later worked as a dispatcher for the
Farmerville Police Department.
Mr. Hanna was very active in the VFW/American
Legion in Metairie. He served in the United States
Army, and was very proud to have served his country.
He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He
served as an officer of Dixie Ranch Hunting Club
in LaCombe, La.
Mr. Hanna was preceded in death by: His parents,
Marcus Dudley and Leona Marine Hanna; two brothers
– Dudley Hanna and Ronald Hanna; and a sister,

56 years, Sandra Hanna of Farmerville; two sons –
Tommy Hanna Jr. and wife Christine of Ruston and
Marcus Hanna of Metairie, La.; a daughter, Julie
Hanna of Farmerville; eight grandchildren, Trey
Hanna, Christian Hanna, Joshua Hanna and wife
Parker, Jacob Fossier, Jordan Hanna, Luke Rolin,
Sara Rolin, and Daniel Rolin; a great grandchild,
Lyla; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. until time of service.
