Funeral services for Jo
A. Veatch, 86, of Marion
were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
Dec. 17, 2016, at First
Baptist Church in Marion
with the Rev. Bubba Hoggatt
officiating. Burial followed
in Evergreen Cemetery
in Bernice under the
direction of Farrar Funeral
Home in Farmerville.
Mrs. Veatch, a homemaker,
went to her heavenly
home Dec. 13, 2016.
She was a member of First
Baptist Church in Marion.
Preceding her in death
was: Her husband, Walter
H. Veatch; daughter, Judy
L. Bearden; parents James
and Nancy Cole; two brothers – Leon Cole and Dewey Cole;
and a grandson, Zachary Neel.
Left to cherish her memory are:: Two sons – Walter Veatch
and wife, Tonya of Farmerville and Jeff Veatch and
wife, Chasten of Ruston; three daughters – Linda Reeves
and husband, Billy of Marion, Becky Busby and husband,
Wayne of Bernice and Debbie DeWitt and husband, Daniel
of Farmerville; 16 grandchildren – Joe Reeves, Tony
Reeves, Tammy Jones, Cindy Dumas, Jennifer Moore,
Leslie Gray, William Busby, Daniel Busby, Randall Veatch,
Leah Harris, Cassie Smith, Richard Neel, Allie Veatch,
Ella-Cate Veatch, Hudson Veatch, and Michael Bearden; 23
great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives,
many friends and her church family.
Pallbearers were her grandsons: Joe Reeves, Tony
Reeves, Chris Jones, Jonathon Dumas, Ben Moore, Adam
Gray, Richard Neel, Josh Harris, and Patrick Smith.
Visitation was Friday, December 16, 2016, at the church.
The family expressed special thanks to the staff of
Arbor Lake and Premier Hospice.
