Bobbie Rean Simpson (12-22-2016)

Funeral services for Bobbie Rean Simpson 64, of
Farmerville were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December
20, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, with
the Rev. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment followed at
Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Bernice under
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Rean was born on February 2, 1952, in Arcadia and
passed away on December 17, 2016, in Farmerville.
Rean was a member of the First Baptist Church and
Gleaners Sunday School class. Rean graduated with a
bachelor of arts degree in sociology and was a receptionist
for Origin Bank in Farmerville for 39 years.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, James Edwin
“Tip” Simpson, and Larene “Jo” Brasher Simpson.
Survivors include: Her sister, Robbie Dean Simpson
of Farmerville; brother Eddie Joe Simpson and wife
Marcie of Jonesboro; three nieces – Jolea Simpson of
Jonesboro, Lindsey Simpson of Casselberry, Fla. and
Shelby Simpson Tolar and husband Brett of Jonesboro;
three aunts – Lou Nell Taylor of West Monroe, Iris Faye
Rogers of Bernice and Doris Brasher of Ruston; uncle,
Glen Holloway and wife Julia of Bernice, LA; as well
as numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers were Bruce Patton, Michael Fontana,
Rannie Russell, Bobby Brasher, Barry Brasher, Danny
Frasier, Tim Tettleton, and Brandon Maxwell.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Harper, David Baughman,
Roger Simpson, Lance Futch, and Donnie Gates,
members of the Gleaners Sunday School Class and
Origin Bank employees.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, December
19, 2016, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
or charity of donor’s choice.
