were held at 10 a.m. on
Monday, October 17, 2016,
at Farrar Funeral Home
with Bro. Glenn Price and
Bro. Payton Bass officiating.
Burial was in Hasley
Cemetery in West Monroe.
Mr. Price, a retired fire
fighter with the city of
West Monroe, went to his
heavenly home October
14, 2016. Serving his community
as a Fire Fighter
for 22 years, Mr. Price was
also a United States Army
veteran who fought during
the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Beulah &
Will Price; three brothers Homer, Johnnie and George;
and a grandson, Carl.
Left to cherish his memory is: His wife of 64 years,
Helen Price of West Monroe; a son, Wesley Price and
wife Betty of Sardis, Miss.; two daughters Sharon Price
Christie and husband Tom of Frisco, Texas and Carolyn
Price Dennis and husband Ray of Slaughter, La.; a brother,
James Price of West Monroe; two sisters Mary Ann
Phillips of Shreveport and Ellouise Walker and husband,
Benny of Rayville; three grandchildren Nicole Hale, Alyene
Christie Leslie and husband Blake and Mary Dennis
Mendez and husband Sammy; six great-grandchildren; as
well as host of other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers were Tom Christie, Blake Leslie, Sammy
Mendez, Todd Hale, Benjamin Hale, Don Price and
Tony Walker. Retired Fire Fighters serving as honorary
pallbearers were James Price, Alan Price, Cordel King,
Robert Davis, Doyce McGuffee, Sherman Harrelson, Todd
McGuffee, Roger Perot, Mike Stancil and Van Taylor.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. for Sunday, October 16, 2016
at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville.
