passed away peacefully
in the arms of her Heavenly
Father on Monday
evening, August 29, 2016
following a lengthy illness.
Debbie had a heart of
gold and a wide circle
of family and friends to
whom she was devoted.
She will be dearly missed
by so many people.
She was born in El
Dorado, Ark., to Frank
and Catherine Hutson
and later was raised in
the Farmerville area.
She was preceded in death by: Her father; her grandparents
– Lois and John Clinton Digby and Thelma and
She is survived by: Her son, Jarvis Dean Silmon Jr.;
a granddaughter, Marly Hodge; parents, Catherine and
Leon Laskowski of Ruston; a sister and her caretaker,
Bonita Hutson of Farmerville; six aunts – Linda and
Dr. Dan Reneau of Choudrant, Betty and Vic Dubee
of Godly, Texas, Melba Admire of Tampa, Fla., Dorothy
Scott of Jacksonville, Fla., Shirley McDonald of
Jacksonville, Fla. and Helen Barber of St. Augustine,
Fla.; two uncles – David Hutson of Jacksonville, Fla.
and Phillip Hutson of St. Augustine, Fla.; step-mother,
Glenda Hutson of Farmerville, La.; as well as a host of
cousins and friends; and special friend, Jim Freeman.
Visitation was held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at
Farrar Funeral Home. Her service was held Thursday,
September 1, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro.
John Saunders and Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery near Bernice. Pallbearers were John Crow, Caleb Kelley, Johnny
Anderson, John Richard Anderson, Mark Andrews, John
Holloway, William Holloway and Thomas Sevin.
Honorary pallbearers were Daylon Ramsey and Chris
