Bobby Glynn Andrews (08-04-2016)
A memorial service for
Bobby Glynn Andrews, 80,
of Farmerville was held at
2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August
2, 2016, at Farmerville
United Methodist Church
with Rev. Hank Hamilton
and Bro. Kurt Auger officiating.
were under the direction
of Farrar Funeral Home of
Mr. Andrews, a retired
football & track coach and
teacher, went to his heavenly
home July 30, 2016. He
was a lifelong member of
Farmerville United Methodist
Church. Bobby was a
1954 graduate of Farmerville
High School and a 1960 graduate of NLU, where he
played football. Mr. Andrews began his coaching and
teaching career at Berwick High School and continued to
coach track and football for 32 years at Ouachita Parish
High School and Sterlington High School. He also worked
as a greeter at Walmart, where he met everyone with a
friendly “Hello,” and could later be seen outside at Arbor
Lake Nursing Home waving at the passersby.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Austin and
Inez Wells Andrews; and wife, Nora Cranor Andrews.
Left to cherish his memory are: His beloved daughter,
Rebecca Lynn Andrews; a brother, Gene and wife Alice
Andrews of Louisville, Ky.; as well as numerous friends
Honorary pallbearers were Keith Moncrief, Sparky
McDuffie, Stein Baughman, Jr., Tom Causey, Thomas
Sevin and Matt Jones.
A very special thanks to the staff and residents at Arbor
Lake for their care, love, friendship, and becoming an
extended part of our family.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until time of service
at the church.
