Funeral services for Sylvia
Jean Caldwell, 54, of
Marion were held at 1 p.m.
on Thursday, July 7, 2016,
at Farrar Funeral Home in
Farmerville with Bro. Bengy
McCann officiating. Burial
followed at Woodlawn Cemetery
in El Dorado under the
direction of Farrar Funeral
Mrs. Caldwell, a phlebotomist,
went to her heavenly
home July 4, 2016. She was a
lifelong native of Marion and
a member of First Baptist
Church of Marion. Sylvia enjoyed making crafts of all kind,
and was especially talented with flowers and wood. Sylviawas loved very much by her family.
She was preceded in death by: Her father, George Erwin
Glover; a daughter, Jennifer Diane Smith; and grandparents
Arthur and Ophelia Platt and Ruth Glover.
Left to cherish her memory is: Her mother, Clara Platt
Perkins and Fennie of Farmerville; two sons – Bradley Adam
Smith and wife Heather Diane of Farmerville and Charlie
Smith and wife Kimberly Dawn of Pineville; a brother, Joel
Perkins and wife, Teresa of St. Louis; two grandsons – Bryson
and Caleb; a granddaughter, Paige; two nephews – Matthew
and Joshua; several aunts, uncles and other relatives and
numerous friends. She is also survived by her special friend,
Pallbearers were John Skeeles, Jordan Skeeles, Gary
Greene, Robert Lemoine, Lionel Canales and Henry Osborne.
Visitation was Thursday prior to the service at Farrar
