Funeral services for Eli Thomas, 21, were held at 2
p.m. on Sunday, January
24, 2016, at Haile Church
of Christ with Bro. Larry
White and Chase Turner
officiating. Burial was
in Liberty Cemetery, Linville
under the direction
of Farrar Funeral Home
in Farmerville.
Eli, a pipeline radiographer
for H&H XRay
Services of West
Monroe, passed away
January 21, 2016, in a car
accident. He was a lifelong
resident of Spencer
and a member of Haile
Church of Christ. He
loved to play drums and
the guitar and was an
avid motorcycle rider. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing
and traveling the back roads mudding.
He was preceded in death by: His maternal grandparents,
George E. and Jerry Thurston Brantley; paternal
grandparents: O.B. and Winfred Thomas; two uncles
and a niece.
Left to cherish his memory are: His parents: Billy
and Amy Thomas of Spencer; six brothers: John David
Cooper and wife Lourdes of California, Ray Thomas anwife, Brenda of Monroe,
Lance Thomas and wife,
Brook of Spencer, Jamey
Thomas, B.J. Thomas
and Tyler Thomas all of
Spencer; three sisters –
Tammy Thomas, Jackie
Thomas and Dana Dooley
and husband, David
all of Monroe; special
companion and fiancé, Emily Stockle; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews;
and many cousins, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers were Lance Thomas, Jamey Thomas, B.J.
Thomas, Tyler Thomas, David Rhodes, and Kyle Coats.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 23,
2016, at Haile Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be
made to the Spanish Mission through Haile Church of
Christ.
