a.m. on Tuesday December
1, 2015, at Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic
Church in Farmerville with
Father Al Jost officiating.
Burial followed at 11 a.m.
on Wednesday, December
2, 2015 at Forrest Lawn
Memorial in Leesville, LA
with Father Ron Foshage
officiating.
Mr. Shivers went to his
heavenly home on Thursday
November 26, 2015.
He served as a motorcycle
policeman with the
Natchitoches Police Department
from 1943 until 1952. He retired with Tenneco
Corporation in 1984 after 32 years holding various positions,
retiring as a pipeline field accountant in Houma.
He and wife of 64 years Marzelle Fisher Shivers, who
preceded him in death in 2009, enjoyed traveling, visiting
family, friends and he was an avid golfer. He was also
preceded in death by one brother; Wickliff Shivers and
parents; Homer & Maude Maricelli Shivers.
Survivors include: Three sons Larry Shivers and wife
Donna of Viola, Ill., Kenneth Shivers and wife Susan of
Peotone, Ill. and Randy Shivers of Shreveport; a daughter,
Janice Boley and husband Jim of Rocky Branch; a
brother, Lester Shivers of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Cherry
Fisher of Chatsworth, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great
grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was 9 a.m. until time of service at Our Lady
of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Farmerville.
