Wilma Brazzel, 82, of Ruston
will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday,
August 12, 2015, at New Hope
Baptist Church in Choudrant,
with Pastor Dwayne
Monk offi ciating. Interment
will follow at Corinth Cemetery
under the direction of
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in
Mrs. Brazzel was born
October 14, 1932 in Spearsville.
She worked at Terzia’s
Rental in Ruston for 20 years
until she retired at age 80. Wilma loved her boss, Buddy and
his family. In fact, they became her family. She also loved her
church family at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant
and especially her Pastor, Dwayne Monk and his family.
Wilma loved being with her family, going out to eat and
especially playing Rook every Friday night with her family.
She loved life and everyone loved her. Her latest love was her
little niece, Sonnie Marye Vinson. She loved listening to her
talk and just giving her some hugs and kisses.
She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Claude and
Sally Lou Rockett; her husband Thomas L. Brazzel; two
daughters – Donna Brazzel and Anita Kelley; two granddaughters
– April Dance and Lana Cross; a grandson, Eric
Beavers; as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Brazzel is survived by: Her sister, Saundra and
husband Jack Bays of Summerfi eld, La.; a son-in-law, Kim
Kelley of Bernice: a daughter, Pam Dance of Ruston; a
grandson, Jed Dance of Pineville; a son, Jerry Cross and
wife Cindy of Shreveport; a daughter, Sherri Campbell and
husband Scott of Duson, La.; a grandson, Hunter Campbell
of Duson; a stepdaughter, Maggie Jean Prey and husband
Paul of Redford, Mich.; a stepdaughter: Ann Tinsley and
husband Sonny of Abbeville, La.; a stepson:, Ronnie Brazzel
and wife Loretta from Lafayette; granddaughter, Chasity
Taylor and husband Jonathan of Lowell, Ark.; a granddaughter,
Connor Cross of Shreveport; as well as many
nieces and nephews.
Special thanks from the family to nurse, David Thompson
of University Health Hospital Neuro ICU in Shreveport for
his unbelievable compassion and kindness he showed to us
and our mother.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Terzia, Greg Terzia, Kim Kelley,
Tony Vinson, James Pilgreen, and Jack Bays.
