Frank Hutson (07-30-2015)
Funeral services for Frank Hutson, 77, were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015, at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Saunders and Dr. Dan Reneau officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery near.
Mr. Hutson, a retired business owner, went to his heavenly home July 24, 2015. Mr. Hutson was a member of Faith Baptist Church and owned Hutson Service Station for over 50 years. He was known fondly as the “Tractor Man” and was a skilled mechanic. He loved to plant and work in his garden and was a very giving person who strived to help people. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, William Fred and Lottie Still Hutson.
Left to cherish his memory are: His wife, Glenda Gresham Hutson; two daughters – Bonita Lynn Hutson and Debbie Hutson Silmon, both of Farmerville; three step-children – William and Terri Cruse of Marthaville, La., Stacy and Kristine Cruse and Ann Hodge of Farmerville; four sisters – Melba Admire of Tampa, Fla., Dorothy Scott of Jacksonville, Fla., Shirley McDonald of Jacksonville, Fla. and Helen Barber of St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers – David Hutson of Jacksonville, Fla. and Phillip Hutson of St. Augustine, Fla.; one grandchild, Jarvis Dean Silmon Jr.; six step-grandchildren – Justin Cruse, Jacob Cruse, Courtney Cruse, Tiffany Chipman and husband Vince, Christopher Dodd and Becky Dodd; a great-grandchild, Marly Hodge; and two step-great-grandchildren – Elizabeth Dodd and E.J. Chipman, Jr.
Pallbearers were John Crow, William Cruse, Vince Chipman, Justin Cruse, Jacob Cruse and Derek Mims. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Floyd Pearson, Billy Grafton and Billy Platt.
Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
