Wayne Bowen, 72, were held
at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February
14, 2015, at Farrar Funeral
Home in Farmerville
with Bro. Vernon Nelson
officiating. Burial followed
in Shady Grove Cemetery
near Farmerville.
Mr. Bowen, a retiree of
Arkla Gas and the State of
Louisiana Forestry Department,
passed away February
11, 2015. He was a member
of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints,
loved the outdoors, animals
and enjoyed working. He
would do anything for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: His parents: Thaxton and
Maggie Bowen; and two sisters Glenda Kyle and Mary
Maude Bowen.
Left to cherish his memory is: His wife of 52 years, Darthorie
Lynn Bowen of Farmerville; son Stephen Wayne
Bowen and wife Evelyn of Salem, Utah; two daughters
Scarlett Lynn Rogers and husband James of Chatham and
Ellen Melessa Hammond and husband, Terry of Pleasant
Grove, Utah; two brothers Clark Venoy Bowen and wife
Mary of Bastrop and Hugh and Sharon Bowen of Lincoln,
Neb.; six sisters Betty Jean Gathright of Huttig, Otto
Mashaw and husband Bobby Jean of Farmerville, Tiny
Forbes of Huttig, Cheri Lynn McIntosh and husband
Johnny of Farmerville, Becky and Steve Tillman of
Milwaukee, Wisc. and Sandy Bowen of Lincoln, Neb.; 15
grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; as well as a host
of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Joshua Rogers, Adam Rogers, Roy
Richards, Mason Rogers, Zachary Bowen, and Sam Richards.
Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Richards and
Jacob Chandler.
Visitation was Friday, February 13, 2015, at Farrar
Funeral Home.
