Donald Day (02-05-2015)
Funeral services for Donald Day, 83, were held at 2:00
p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Farrar Funeral Home
in Farmerville with the Reverends Roger Johnson and
Byron Boykin offi ciating. Burial was in Concord Cemetery
near Marion under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mr. Day, a retired pipe liner and mechanic with International
Union Operator Engineer Local 302, went to his
heavenly home January 28, 2015. He was a lifelong resident
of Union Parish and a member of First Baptist Church
in Marion.
Preceding him in death were: His parents: Charles
Robert and Stella Craven Day; a brother Roy Glendon
Day; four sisters Audrey Bennett, Ruth Ward, Najarta
Williams and Robbie Graves; two sons Richard Scott Day
and Jimmy Glenn Day; and two grandsons Robbie Day
and Jordan Day.
Left to cherish his memory are: Five sons Donnie Day
and wife Beverly of Endicott, Neb., Roger Day and wife,
Charlotte of Monroe, Jerry Day of Jonesborough, Tenn.,
and Jeff Day and Kevin Day of Boaz, Ala.; two daughters
Brenda Rosson and husband Jimmy of Farmerville and
Sandy Harris and Ken Miller of Hebert; daughter-in-law
Paula Day of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; niece Freddie Telles of
Ruston; nephew Larry Graves of Ruston; as well as LA,
22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons Shannon
Rosson, Benji Rosson, Chad Day, Joseph Reeves, Christopher
Day and Daniel Day.
Visitation was Friday, January 30, 2015, at Farrar Funeral
