Funeral services for
James Floyd Thomas, 68,
will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, January 21,
2015, at Cross Roads Baptist
Church in Farmerville with
Rev. Andy Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Cook
Cemetery in Spencer under
the direction of Farrar Funeral
Mr. Thomas, a retired
welder, went to his heavenly
home January 17, 2015. He
was a member of Cross
Roads Baptist Church. Jim
was a “Jack or Jim,” if you
will, of all trades. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing,
coin collecting and woodworking. He met so many people
through his travels and the D’Arbonne Diner. He loved his
kids and grandkids with all his heart, including Jessica
Novak. He loved her and treated her like his own. He was
a proud Vietnam Veteran and served two tours during
Preceding him in death were: His parents Lawrence
“Pop” Thomas & Mary “Nanny” West Thomas; and a son,
Rusty Thomas.
Left to cherish his memory are: Two daughters – Missy
Greer and husband Ben and Rhonda Rawls and husband
Mike, all of Farmerville; two brothers – Beau Thomas and
Ricky Thomas of Farmerville; three sisters – Jane Cook, Pat
Addison and husband Terry and Sandy Dean, all of Farmerville;
seven grandchildren – Kimber Moon, Bubba Moon,
Tiffiny Greer, Nate Greer, Taylor Thomas, Allie Givens
and Chassidy Boyd; as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Beau Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Adam
Novak, Lee Thomas, Lil Bo Thomas, Todd Futch, Ronnie
Dean, T.J. Futch & Ray Wyrick.
Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Farrar Funeral Home.
