Julia Genevieve “GiGi” Taylor (01-15-2015)
Funeral services for Julia Genevieve “GiGi” Taylor, 90, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015. at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Pastor Mike Reynolds officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Calhoun, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor, a homemaker, went to her heavenly home January 9, 2015. She was a very active member of Aulds Chapel Church in Downsville for 50 years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, sewing and was an avid reader. GiGi was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and was a very Godly influence on her family and others she encountered.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Robert and Madeline Bailey; and her husband of 61 years, John C. Taylor.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dale Taylor and wife Gayle of Downsville; daughter, Carolyn Taylor Bell and husband Thomas of Demopolis, Ala.; two sisters – Betty LaBonte of Houston, Texas and Peggy Myrick of Hunstville, Ala.; four grandchildren – Bryan Taylor and wife Susan, Shannon Vadalier and husband Kelly, Tracy Bell Bond and husband Wade and Cristy Cherry and husband Ben; 10 great grandchildren – Dillon Vadalier, Devin Vadalier, Dustin Vadalier, Daniel Taylor, Dakota Taylor, Bailey Taylor, Haileigh Nolan, Benjamin Cherry, Ella Cherry, and Livi Cherry; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
The men of Aulds Chapel Church served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
Visitation was held Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Farrar Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank the administrator and staff of Arbor Rose and Southern Care Hospice: Keshia Scott, Chris Hudson, Cathy Bayles, Brittney Murphy, Theresa Frazier, Shamone Gales, Joyce Lewis, Ashley Peavy, Lora Andrews, Helaina Smith, Scott Beeson, Emily Peterson and Raquel Foster for the loving care given to their mom while under your care.
