Photo of Norma Evelyn Poston McKinnie  Services for Mrs. Norma Evelyn Poston McKinnie, 94, of Marion were held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014, at the Dean Baptist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Donald Reeves. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Linville. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2014, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
“Miss Norma” passed away September 4, 2014 at home in Ft. Smith, Ark., after a short illness. A lifetime resident of Dean, she was born November 14, 1919. She attended Spearsville High School. She worked at Marion Clinic for many years and provided care and comfort for so many. She was a member of Dean Baptist Church, where she was pianist & organ player for over 45 years.
She is survived by: Her daughters, Patricia Ann Hickey and Diedre Lane of Fort Smith and Terri Sue Phillips of Frisco, Texas; son Jon R. McKinnie of League City, Texas; 11 grandchildren – Scott Bardin of Russellville Ark., Pat Pillow of Jackson, Tenn., Terri Andrews of Benton, Amanda Phillips of Denver, Colo., Ashley Meredith of Haughton, Jennifer Pearson of Dallas, Penny Gregory of League City, Randy McKinnie of Ruston, and Michael Hicks, Courtney Lane and Marc Lane of Ft Smith; 19 great grand-children and seven great great grand-children.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband of 50 plus years, William Pinkney “Dub” McKinnie; two children – Michael and Cindy; and her parents, Leonard & Tempie Ann Key Poston.
Pallbearers were Scott Bardin, Randy McKinnie, Larry McKinnie, Gary McKinnie, Marc Lane, Danny Smith, Roger Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers were Dewey Reppond, Dewey Rhodes, Charles Pace
