Ray Scarborough (08-21-2014)
Funeral services for Ray Scarborough, 85, of Farmerville were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Dean Baptist Church in Marion with Bro. Don Reeves officiating. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery in Linville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mr. Scarborough, a retired employee of Thermatomic Carbon Plant, went to his heavenly home August 11, 2014. He was a member of Dean Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: His wife Lola Scarborough; a son, Terry Lee Scarborough; parents, Joe and Huie Scarborough; as well as two brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are: His son Tim Scarborough and wife Peggy of Farmerville; a sister, Barbara Alewine of Woodworth, La.; four grandchildren – Shawn, Suzanne and husband Matt, Shane and wife Heather and Sheree and husband Luke; as well as 10 great grandchildren – Adriane, Alyssa, C.J., Faith, Christen, Gabriel, Aubrey, Isaiah, Hope and Silas.
Pallbearers were Tim Scarborough, Shawn Scarborough, Shane Scarborough, Matt Lee and Luke Naber. Honorary pallbearer was Jasper Snell.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Farrar Funeral Home.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Arbor Lake and Union General Hospital for their kindness and loving care given to Mr. Ray and his family.
