Photo of Octavie WebbFuneral services for Mrs. Octavie Webb, 102, of Spearsville, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Bro. David Martin and Bro. Truett West officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Octavie was a seamstress, quilter, fisherwoman, jelly maker and gardener. She was the oldest member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Octavie is preceded in death by: Her parents; five sisters; four brothers; husband Bonnie Webb; daughter, Dixie Edwards; sons Bill Webb, Boyce Webb, Ted Webb and Doug Webb; and grandson Eddie Webb.
Left to cherish her memory is: Her daughter-in-law Ola Webb; grandchildren Bonnie Eck and husband Joe, Andy Edwards, Bradley Edwards and wife Michelle, Dee Dee Gurgainers and husband Phillip; Betty Jean Courtney and husband Bruce; Sharon Craighead and husband B.C.; and Steve Webb; 14 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Special thanks to Family Alliance Hospice, her caregivers and nieces, Rowena Patterson, Elizabeth O’Connor and Louise Denton. A very special thank you to Joe Bridges and family for the care given to Octavia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St Judes, Beulah Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
Visitation was Friday from 5-7p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at the funeral home.
