William Warren “Bill” Washam (04-03-2014)
Funeral services for Mr. William Warren “Bill” Washam, 80, of Lillie were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday March 29, 2014, at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Bro. John Saunders officiating. Burial was in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mr. Washam went to his heavenly home March 26, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Lillie and Union Parish, a member of Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, a veteran of the Korean War and a lineman for Arkansas Power & Light (Entergy) for 37 years. He was an avid hunter, an excellent marksman and a gunsmith, entrusted by many hunters and gun owners throughout the South.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Wilson and Bess Washam.
Left to cherish his memory is: His wife, Peggy Washam; a son, Warren Washam and wife Teresa of Dubach; a daughter, Kathy Carter and husband, Harvey of Junction City, La.; two sister in-laws – Sue Nugent of Winnsboro and Ruth DeVoll and husband, Eddie of Sunnyvale, Texas; two brothers in laws – John Saunders and wife Sue of Farmerville and J.T. Saunders and wife Patsy of Spearsville.
Pallbearers were Randy Draper, Latty Truell, Dr. Charles Nash, Pat Wallace, Steven DeVoll and Gerald Wilson.
