Nichols, Avegno to marry July 6

Ted B. Nichols, Jr. and Cindy Bennett Nichols of Hot Springs Village, Ark. announce the engagement of their daughter Caroline Alisee Nichols to Charles Philippe Avegno.
The ceremony will take place on July 6 at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Anthony’s Chapel, Hot Springs, Ark.

Caroline currently lives in New York City, having moved there five weeks before the 2001 Twin Towers tragedy.

During her residence in Manhattan, she taught fourth grade for three years as PS 122 in Queens, and the past three years she has taught third grade at PS 41 in Greenwich Village.
Charles resides in Metairie, La. where he is the Sales and Marketing Director for Aquascapes by Grandscapes there in Metairie.

Caroline’s maternal grandparents who are both deceased were John Coy Bennett and Sue Rhodes Bennett of Spearsville, both lifelong residents of Union Parish.

Her paternal grandparents, also now deceased, were Ted B. Nichols, Sr. and Rosa Hundley Nichols of Star City, Ark.

Charles’ maternal grandparents, also all now deceased were Carlton B. Wright and Amelia Job Wright of Metairie and his paternal grandparents were Victor P. Avegno and Mary Stallings Avegno of New Orleans. Charles is the son of Carol Wright Avegno of Metarie, La. and the late Albert Kenner Avegno, also of Metarie, La.

Caroline and Charles have known each other for many years, having worked together in Houston while she was in college there.

Caroline’s having survived 9-11 just after moving to NYC, and Charles’ having survived Hurricane Katrina almost two years ago, makes their union that much more special for the wonderful couple.

Many relatives from Spearsville, and the New Orleans/Metairie area are anticipating a very unique wedding ceremony which should be very beautiful in “The Glass Chapel” in Hot Springs’ Garvan Woodland Gardens.
