|Husher, Oubre to wed June 9|
Kristi Dawn Husher and Benjamin OíNeil Oubre, both of St. Martinville, are pleased to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The couple plan to wed in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony June 9 at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Sue Brown of Downsville, and Ray Husher of Houma. She is the granddaughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy Horn of Ruston, and the late Chester and Bessie Husher or Ferriday.
She is the 1995 valedictorian at Bernice High School and a graduate of Louisiana State University and LSU Law. She has earned a bachelorís degree in mass communications, a bachelorís degree in civil law and a juris doctorate. She graduated with honors.
She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Lafayette Bar Association. She is employed as an attorney with Stan Gauthier II Law Firm in Lafayette.
The groom is the son of Brenda Oubre of St. Martinville and Curtis Oubre of Lafayette.
He is the grandson of Ida Robicheaux of St. Martinville and the late Roland Robicheaux, and Chester and Irene Oubre of New Iberia. He is a graduate of Catholic High School in New Iberia and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a bachelorís degree in animal science. He is also a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he earned a masterís in biology.
The groom is employed as a biology professor at Louisiana Community College in Lafayette.
