Bennie Davis Thompson, of Bienville and John (Glenda) Hampton, of Arcadia, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Johnetta Patrice Davis to Jermaine Junior Banks, son of Ophelia Blackmon and Willie Ray Banks, of Lillie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Odie and Mary Davis, of Bienville, and the late Johnny (Mack) and Ada Hampton, of Arcadia.
The groom-elect is the grandson of late Anntnee Beard and Arthur Blackmon, of El Dorado, Ark. and the late Buster and Cornelius Banks, of Milwaukee, Wisc.
Johnetta is a graduate of Arcadia High School and Grambling State University with a Bachelorís of Arts in mass communication, and a Masterís in Criminal Justice. She is employed at Louisiana Technical College-Oakdale Campus as the lead criminal justice Instructor.
Jermaine is a graduate of Bernice High School. He is currently enrolled at Louisiana College majoring in accounting and drafting design. He is employed as a team manager at Target.
The couple will marry at Christ Temple Baptist Church in Ruston on January 23, 2010, at 4:42 p.m. The reception will be held at the Favrot Student Union Black and Gold Room on Grambling State University campus following the ceremony. The couple would like to extend an open invitation to everyone.
